NICO MASTORAKIS, or, as everyone here calls him, "The Chief". Greek radio's # 1 DJ in the sixties, also wrote and produced some 450 pop songs of that decade (many of them with composer Vangelis) and became the backbone of Greek pop. A reporter at heart, who later on went to star on the most popular TV shows, conquered the movie world in Hollywood (as writer / producer of "The Greek Tycoon", later as producer for Paramount Pictures and then, for the last 18 years as the sole owner of Omega Entertaiment, with 24 features under his belt as writer / producer / director) Nico created Radio Gold as a labor of love and affection to the sixties. A labor of love which quickly became the # 1 station for oldies and classic rock not only in Greece but also on the web's international marketplace.
